All participants should register at the 6/F lobby . Please provide your entry number and identity document (ID card, student ID card or student handbook, etc.)


 Scoring Methodology:

1. Judges: Each group of competitions will be judged by 2 to 3 judges, and the final score will be the average of all the judges’ scores.

2. Judge restrictions: Judges are not allowed to grade students they have taught within the past six months. In case of special circumstances, the judge's score will not be calculated.

3. Results announcement: The results of the competition will be announced immediately and distributed on site . Each category will have gold, silver, bronze and excellent performance awards.

4. Except for the Young Performer Group, each group will have a champion, a first runner-up and a second runner-up, each of which will be awarded a trophy (except the Young Performer Group). If the level of the contestants does not meet the standards, the judging panel has the right not to award the first, second and third place prizes .

5. Certificates and awards : will be presented at the " First Hong Kong International Yangqin Concert and Awards Ceremony " that evening

Scoring criteria :

Technical skills ( 40 points): performance accuracy, tone control, application of techniques, etc.  

Musical performance ( 40 points): musical emotional expression, artistic appeal, grasp of style, etc.  

Stage performance ( 20 points): manners, stage presence, etc.

80 points-84.9 points

75 points-79.9 points

  

Notes for Participants :

1. During the competition, participants can choose to use the conference dulcimer or bring their own dulcimer. (Model: 402). There will be no piano trial time on site. If you bring your own yangqin , you can place it next to the stage before the competition begins .

2. Only contestants, judges and staff are allowed to enter the competition venue . Parents and teachers are requested to arrange pick-up at the scheduled end time (except for the Young Performers group) .

3. If contestants need to read music scores while performing , they must use authentic music scores .

4. Participants must ensure that the information provided is accurate, otherwise the participant may be disqualified.

5. Please abide by the competition rules and respect the judges and staff during the competition.  

6. The Association has the right to terminate and cancel the qualification and prize of any participant who violates the rules and terms of the competition.

7. The results of the competition shall be subject to the final decision of the judges and no objection shall be allowed.

8. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants who fail to participate due to personal reasons will be deemed to have waived their qualifications.

9. In case of any disputes, the Association reserves the right of final interpretation and decision .

10. The Association will reserve the copyright and public broadcast rights of all audio and video recordings of the competition and related activities.

1 2. The Association has the right to amend the competition regulations, rules and terms, awards and list of judges .

1 3. Once the registration form is submitted, it means that the registrant and his/her parents or guardians agree to all the rules and terms of the competition .
